Exquisite pocket fruit knife by Aaron Hadfield, 1830

Description

This handsome knife from Aaron Hadfield has fluted mother-of-pearl scales, silver bolsters, an inlaid silver cartouche and an unusually plain silver back bar sleeve. The knife measures 3 3/8 inches in the closed position. The blade still has a ‘snap’ — quite a rarity for silver-bladed knives, indicating very little use over its 195-year life. The knife is in excellent condition.
