Fine fruit knife by John Yeomans Cowlishaw, 1937

Description

This 3 inch pocket fruit knife by the renowned specialist John Yeomans Cowlishaw’s workshop is made with brass liners, rounded mother-of-pearl scales, an inlaid shield cartouche, silvered bolsters and a solid silver spear point blade. There are four hallmarks on the blade: Sheffield crown, lion passant, date letter “u” for 1937 and maker’s mark “J.Y.C”. This is one of the latest knives produced under the Cowlishaw name and it is in excellent condition.
