Description

William Needham was a prolific silver pocket fruit knife maker with a workshop at 13 Jessop Street, Sheffield.

This bijou example of his craftsmanship has a gentle sleeveboard shaped body and measures 2 1/4 inches closed. The knife is made with brass liners, iridescent rounded mother-of-pearl scales, silver bolsters and a solid silver spearpoint blade with four hallmarks: Sheffield crown, lion passant, date letter “p” for 1907 and the maker’s mark “WN”.

This lovely little knife is in excellent condition.
